Samajwadi Party today sacked Kamal Farooqi as its Secretary in the wake of his controversial remarks that Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal was arrested as he was a Muslim.
The appeal filed through advocate Nishant R Katneshwarkar raised 20 grounds while assailing the high court order.
The National Human Rights Commission on Wednesday gave a clean chit to the Delhi police in the Batla House encounter case, in which two suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorists and a police officer were killed last year. The Reserve Bank on Thursday asked banks and other financial institutions to report to the government details about accounts resembling 10 individuals who have been designated as terrorists by the Union home ministry earlier this month.
